GTO MEMBERSHIP RULES (GTO BYLAWS)
For the most part, the GTO Bylaws (membership rules) are fairly simple and are based upon sound business practices / policies recognized and utilized in countries throughout the world.
GTO members are expected to perform professionally when working with other members of GTO.
As a condition of maintaining a valid membership, GTO members shall be required to timely meet financial obligations to both GTO and other members of GTO. There can be no exceptions in this regard.
GTO members shall be required to promptly respond to all inquiries and / or quotation requests from other members of GTO. If, for any reason, a GTO member cannot provide a quotation and / or provide request information, the GTO member receiving the request shall still have the responsibility of promptly informing the inquiring GTO member.
GTO members are expected to treat other GTO members as they expect to be treated. GTO members are partners in a network organization and have common objectives and goals designed to benefit the entire membership.
The future success of GTO as a global network of independent forwarding companies shall largely depend upon the actions taken by its' members. The basic requirements of the GTO Bylaws to perform professionally, timely meet financial obligations and promptly address communications are vital to the success of GTO. EVERY MEMBER shall play a very important part in the future success of GTO.
