GTO has established a firm goal of securing members in over 140 countries / over 750 cities worldwide. Each member shall be an independent reliable / dependable forwarding company with expertise in the market(s) of location.

Independent forwarding companies frequently have some agents in given locations based upon regular traffic. GTO is dedicated to securing members not only in major trading centers but in remote locations throughout the world as well. GTO shall provide an opportunity to its' membership to have reliable and dependable agents available on a worldwide basis.

All GTO members shall be required to recognize, accept and respond to Bylaws (membership rules) designed to protect the organization and the general GTO membership. The GTO Bylaws are referenced in more detail elsewhere in this presentation. In part, the GTO Bylaws require GTO members to perform professionally when working with other GTO members, to timely respond to inquiries from other GTO members and to timely meet financial obligations to other GTO members. These firm areas of responsibility and basic business functions are vital to maintaining a GTO membership in good standing.

As explained in greater detail in another area within this presentation, GTO shall provide its' members with tremendous support and a wide variety of sales / marketing tools. GTO shall place its' members in a position whereas they can compete against not only other independent forwarders but large multinational forwarders as well. Each member shall have the opportunity to increase their global service abilities through membership in GTO.

GTO is designed to combine the individual strengths and service capabilities of its' members for the purpose of presenting and maintaining the solid global image of a worldwide logistics force. Each member shall be in a position to take advantage of the global service capabilities available through the GTO membership while still maintaining an individual indentity in each case.
