INCREASING PROFITS / REDUCING COSTS
All international forwarding companies have sales leads applicable to several parts of the world where they do not have agency relationships. Frequently, forwarding companies do not pursue sales leads and routing orders in other parts of the world only due to a lack of agency representation in such locations. GTO shall gradually eliminate that obstacle.
GTO members have excellent opportunities to increase profits by working with other GTO members to route air and sea shipments with 50-50 profit splits. Many GTO members are already working together closely and they are realizing tremendous increases in profits.
GTO members automatically enjoy a reduction in the cost of communications when working with other GTO members. All GTO members shall be required to have email capabilities.
Based upon the collective buying power of the GTO network, the Board of Directors of GTO shall pursue negotiations with major air and sea carriers and other international vendors with the objective of reducing costs for the entire network. Beyond carriers, international vendors may include but not be limited to cargo surety companies, advertising companies, publications, software producers, communications companies, auto rental companies, hotels and other various other service and product vendors operating on a global basis.
