GTO ANNUAL WORLD
CONFERENCES
GTO
holds an Annual GTO World Conference, in June of each year, in a
different
location. The first ten ( 10 ) annual GTO World Conferences through
the
year 2009 have been scheduled to be held in various cities
throughout the
world.
The
very successful 1st Annual GTO World Conference was held
in Houston in
June, 2000.
The next four Annual GTO World Conferences are
scheduled to be held in
the

The Annual GTO World Conferences are conducted
for the direct benefitof the global membership of GTO. Every GTO
member attending the Annual GTO World Conferences has the opportunity to
either strengthen existingagency relationships or begin new agency relationships with
other GTOmembers.
Companies became members of GTO, in part, based upon the
desire to gainaccess to other excellent, independent forwarding companies
on a globalbasis. Attending the Annual GTO World Conferences allows all
GTO membersto pursue this very important goal.
Excellent GTO member programs are carefully reviewed and
explained. AllGTO members have opportunities to meet directly with GTO
program vendorrepresentatives to discuss the details of such programs, in
each case. GTOmember programs are designed to gradually
provide access to lower buy rates as such programs are developed and utilized by the
global membershipof GTO. The collective buying power of the GTO
membership is continually improved by participation in GTO member
programs. All GTO members attending the Annual GTO World Conferences have opportunities
to examinesuch programs to ensure all questions are addressed.
While attending Annual GTO World Conference is
not a requirement to holdmembership in GTO, such participation is
strongly encouraged by the GTOBoard of Directors. Attending the annual GTO
World Conferences shall allow each GTO member to understand all activities
within GTO, as we continue tomove forward to build GTO on a global level.
