GTO ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES & OTHER COSTS

Many global forwarding networks assess an “ initiation fee “. GTO does not assess any such fee.

For most cities worldwide, the GTO membership fee shall be in an amount ranging from USD 1,020.00 annually ( average of USD 85.00 per month ) to USD 1,620.00 annually ( average of USD 135.00 per month ).

The amount ( to be determined by the GTO Board of Directors, in each case ) would be applicable to the main office with an additional amount assessed for each branch office ( if any ).

GTO is very different from all other global forwarding networks in operation today. We are different in many positive ways.

The GTO Board of Directors is fully aware of the fact some cities and countries are enjoying a much higher level of economic success than other parts of the world. Membership fees for those members in smaller ports / airports or those enjoying less economic success should be more favorable. We believe in fairness.

After being in the forwarding industry for over 35 years and after 15 years of operating global networks, the GTO Board of Directors is very much aware of the needs of the medium-sized and smaller forwarding company.

GTO annual membership fees vary from city to city and country to country. The Board of Directors gives proper consideration to the sizes of cities, statistics of cargo moving via ports and / or airports, manufacturing data, local and national economic strengths, export / import trade data and numerous other important factors.

The membership fee structure is one of fairness to all present and future GTO members with adjustments where such actions may be considered appropriate.

GTO members have the option of payment of membership fees on an annual basis ( one invoice ) or semi-annually ( two invoices ) or quarterly ( four invoices ). Payment via installments ( semi-annual or quarterly ) are allowed under the GTO Bylaws as along as GTO members respond to such financial obligations in a timely manner.

All members attending Annual GTO World Conferences shall be billed pro-rated costs in connection with such events. Such very reasonable costs shall include pro-rated expenses for meals, use of meeting facilities, outside transportation and other such clearly defined meeting services. Such pro-rated conference costs shall be billed ONLY to those GTO members attending Annual GTO World Conferences. While attendance of the Annual GTO World Conferences shall be encouraged, it is not mandatory as a condition of membership in GTO.

GTO operates programs designed to benefit the growing global membership of GTO.

Such programs include but shall not be limited to the following:

GTO Cargo Insurance Program

GTO Sea Cargo Program

GTO members are not required to participate in these or future member programs as a condition of membership. Participation is and shall be optional.

The cost of participation in these optional programs ( and others to be introduced ) shall be clearly defined in each case.

GTO has been designed to produce maximum benefits to its’ global membership at a very reasonable cost of participation.
